No trip to Rome is complete without exploring its most iconic landmarks. Be sure to visit the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Vatican City, and the Spanish Steps. Each destination offers a unique glimpse into Rome's rich history, breathtaking architecture, and vibrant culture, making your visit truly unforgettable.

The Spanish Steps in Rome

The Spanish Steps have 135 steps connecting the Piazza di Spagna to the Trinità dei Monti church. Despite their name, they weren't built by Spain. They were largely funded by a French diplomat and completed in 1725. The square at the bottom, however, is named after the nearby Spanish Embassy, which is how the steps got their famous name.

Legend says that if you toss one coin over your left shoulder with your right hand into the Trevi Fountain, you'll return to Rome someday.
